Hi,

I'm using TM4C1294NCPDT chip on a custom board. This board will not be connected to internet. It is connected to a custom server through a DHCP enabled switch. Please help me on how resolve host name to IP address in this environment.

First of all, are you using NDK from TI-RTOS for the TCP/IP?

Hi Charles,

Sorry for the late reply.
I figured out how to resolve the hostname using DNS.

I have another concern here.

Currently, i'm using the hard coded DNS IP in the .cfg file as below to resolve the hostname into IP address:
Dns.externDnsServIp = "8.8.8.8";
But, now I have to configure the MCU to use some DNS IP address which the user will enter through the keyboard for the resolution of host name. I've written an API to accept the user entered IP in a string. I have to use this user entered string in place of the hard-coded IP mentioned above.
Is there a way to do this? Please help me.
