how to do multiplication(both fixed and floating point) for LAUNCHXL2-570LC43 LAUNCHPAD in ccsv7? is there any document you can refer or any code snippet for reference.

Here you can find DSP library with both fixed and floating point math functions: www.ti.com/.../hercules-dsplib
When you install it, you will find examples and documentation under install folder.

Sir,
I have downloaded it and installed it also. but wondering how to use it. Currently i am developing ana application in which i am getting 8 bit data and i need to multiply it with a constant value and assign to some register. however i need some more math calculation later. So how i can use CMSIS DSP TOOL. KINDLY HELP.

Examples are included in this library. In Docs\html subfolder user manual files are also included.

Hello DEEPAK
In this link compiles is set to use libraries as binaries. Did you add *.lib file needed under ARM Linker-->File Search Path?

Sir,

Unable to solve the problem. So kindly let me know the steps to built a ccs project using cmsis dsp library ccs ver 7.0. basicaly i will be using floating point multiplication and pid control functions for motor control.

Hello DEEPAK,
1. Create project with HALCoGen, set configuration needed, generate code;

2. Make CCS project project with same name as the one generated by HALCoGen
- use Empty Project template;
You could use already created project.

3. Go to: Project-->Properties.
- go to Resource-->Linked resources and create path variable with name CMSIS_DSP_HOME and value equal to the library path (for example "c:\ti\Hercules\Cortex-R4 CMSIS DSP Library\1.0.0" );
- go to CCS Build-->Arm Compiler-->Include options and add the following path: ${CMSIS_DSP_HOME}/include;
Add your project include folder as well;
- go to CCS Build-->ARM Linker-->File Search Path. Include library C:\ti\Hercules\Cortex-R4 CMSIS DSP Library\1.0.0\Lib\ti_math_Cortex_R4_bspf.lib;
- Add dir to library search path: ${CMSIS_DSP_HOME}/Lib
- go to CCS Build-->ARM Compiler-->Advanced Options and add CCS and UART_SUPPORT as predefined symbols;

In "sys-main.c" include "arm_math.h".

Now you can start using math functions described in C:/ti/Hercules/Cortex-R4 CMSIS DSP Library/1.0.0/Docs/html/index.html

Thanks for the suggestions. This helped me a lot. Now i need to implement PID control using CMSIS library. how to do it?
