TMS570LS3137: How to test for interrupts enabled?

I know I can enable and disable the IRQ and FIQ interrupts using the _enable_interrupt_ and _disable_interrupt_ functions provided by HALCoGen. Is there any way to test if these interrupts are enabled?

Hello Hugh,
To use interrupts you should first enable individual interrupts (each module got it's own interrupt enable bit). For example to enable SPI receive interrupt you must set RXINTENA bit in SPIINT0 register. Interrupt level should be set in SPILVL register. Then SPI interrupt channel needs to be enabled in VIM (Vectored Interrupt Manager) module (for example channel 12 is for MIBSPI1 Level 0 interrupt). All this settings could be done in HALCoGen. Finaly to enable MCU interrupts you could call _enable_interrupts();
In order to check whether some interrupt is enabled/disabled you could use corresponding register and corresponding interrupt enable bit.

I was hoping there might be some way to read back the register that gets set when I call _enable_interrupts() but it looks like this isn't possible.

Hello Hugh,
_enable_interrupts() enables both FIQ and IRQ. This is done by clearing bit 6 in CPSR to enable FIQ and bit 7 in CPSR to enable IRQ. Once FIQ are enabled they can not be disabled by software.

Hello Hugh,
you can use the _getCPSRValue_ function to get the CPSR register value. Bits 6 (FIQ) and 7 (IRQ) indicate if the interrupts are enabled (0) or disabled (1). See also Cortex-R5 Technical Reference Manual.
