Which could be the competitive microcontroller replacing this one?

I have a design in prototype which I designed with Microchip 16F628A.   Do you have a competitive microcontroller which replace it with some advantage - price better relation?    Could you explain it?

    Hi Luis,

    Thanks for your interesting in the MSP430 devices. I don't think you are finding a part which is definitely same with the 16F628A you are using, because you may not use all the features of the 16F628A. But you should find a part which could match your system specification. Could you share me your system requirements so that I could suggest you a part which fits your specification? For example:
    1. Memory size? Code and Data.
    2. Clock?
    3. GPIO numbers?
    4. Package?
    5. Peripherals? such as UART, SPI, I2C, ADC or others?

    Also, I would like to introduce the selection tool of the MSP430 devices, by which you can input the requirements and find the parts you need.

    I'm sending you the datasheet of the device.    I just want to know if you have a competitive device considering characteristics and price, with an advantage respect this relation, comparing your brand and the other, so if you have something better, I consider it for several projects.

    Hi Luis,

    We should have a suitable part for your project. I really want to give you a quick suggestion for the part number but it needs your system requirements, which could be "must have" and "nice to have". The "must have" items should be matched with your requirements and the "nice to have" item could give you additional benefit with our device.

    Please be noted that it is difficult to suggest you a same part with your current one because different devices have multi parameters, such as memory size, package, peripherals an so on. Also, to say advantages for a device, we should know about your system requirements. Any functions or peripherals you won't use could take no advantage to you.
