Can TMS570 Safety MCU Demos program run through Blackhawk USB100v2

Hi:

    every one.  I bought a TMS570MDK from TI . The TMS570 Safte MCU Demo program can run though the TMS570MDK.

So I bought the Blackhawk USB100V2 and make a PCB which have a TMS570ls20216. I use USB100V2 can connect the TMS570, and can use

nowFlash download the Demo_Software_Ver1_1.out  in TMS570. When I run TMS570 Safety MCU Demos  program, It crash.  I use it in Windows XP.

My question:

 (1) Can TMS570 Safety MCU Demos  program run by USB 100V2, or it can only run through TMS570MDK.

(2) If can, how can I solve the question.

    Hi

    The Safety Demo software is designed to Run on the TMS570MDK. But it does not stop you from using the demo software ( Micro code) on TMS570LS20216 PCB as long as you maintain the device frequency and no other software programmed or running along.

    There are couple of thing you should be aware of the TMS570MDK, same USB cable is used for DEBUG(JTAG) and also to Receive/Transmit UART( SCI) commands using special chip in the board which is very essential for demo software. ( Refer the MDK schematics for more details).  Not sure how your PCB handles this?

    Also I think the Demo software running in PC does some device verification using UART commands, if it did not receive back valid Device Info it may not start the Demo.
