TMS570LS3137: TMS570LS3137 MIBSPI Slave configuration

Part Number: TMS570LS3137

Hello,

We are using TMS570LS3137 microcontroller MIBSPI interface as a slave and configuring MIBSPI pins as pull down by using SPI Pin Control Register 8 register.

During our code execution external master sees MIBSPI data as 1's even though the transmitter buffer is filled with zeros. what could be the reason for this?

After Reset what will be status of MIBSPI pins? are they pulled down or pulled up?

Thanks,

Kalyan

  • Hello,
    Reset pull state of MIBSPI1 of TMS570LS3137 is as follows:
    MIBSPI1CLK - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1NCS[0] - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1NCS[1] - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1NCS[2] - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1NCS[4] - Pul-down;
    MIBSPI1NCS[5] - Pul-down;
    MIBSPI1NENA - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1SIMO[0] - pull-up;
    MIBSPI1SIMO[1] - Pul-down;
    MIBSPI1SOMI[0] - pull-up;
    For this and for the other MIBSPI ports, pull states could be found in Table 4-10 of device datasheet.

    Please, ensure whether slave port is prepared before master starts communication.
