Hello,

I want to create an RTSC Project in CCS6.

I started by creating an empty ccs project and I added an RTSC Config file.( I want to start with a simple hello world example)

During the installation of ccs6 I selected TI ARM compiler.

The build shows the error: No target named.

I tried to solve this by going to Windows->preferences-> ccs-> products->RTSC.

I make sure that the RTSC.lib library is included in the lib path.

I don t know what to write in the target and platform. What does platform mean?

We highly recommend you start with an empty RTSC project instead of trying to convert a non-RTSC project to one.

I tried to do so. But I have got an error during creating the empty RTSC Project:

None of the currently selected products supplies value for the Target. Please specify the Target manually, or try using a pre-3.30 version of XDCtools.

Hi Soundes,

SYS/BIOS is not supported on the Hercules device family. Please refer to this page for a list of supported RTOS solutions for Hercules devices: www.ti.com/.../tools-software.html

Hello Todd,
I used HalcoGen to generate automatically code in my ccs project. I don't know if this is correct to have an RTSC project?
I cannot find what is the right RTOS to have for TMS570LC43xx board?
I want simply to run a c program on the board. Please, can you explain to me steps to have that. (I am not an expert)

Why do you want it to be RTSC based? Generally you'd only want this if you are using SYS/BIOS (also called TI-RTOS).

I'm moving this thread to the Hercules team. They can offer better guidance.

Hello,
There are few steps to run c program on Hercules Launchpad board.
First you need to configure your device using HALCoGen. HALCoGen could be downloaded from here: www.ti.com/.../HALCOGEN
Also you can watch some training videos how to start and use HALCoGen here: training.ti.com/.../1132538
After configuring your device and generating code from HALCogen you will need CCS (it is better to download and install the last version of CCS from here: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Download_CCS ).
Tutorial on how to configure device, compile code and upload it to Launchpad could be watched here: training.ti.com/hercules-how-tutorial-turning-leds . This example blinks LED using MCUs GIO moduel.
