Hello,

Please note that we are working on an automotive project (Something related to Video streaming) and during the implementation we were working on an OMAP-X5777BXGABC chip and everything went as expected and everything was working smoothly and during the production we've moved to TDA2 chip and since then we are facing some problems regarding the video streaming, we are unable to stream any video.

I've been told that both chips are the same and the OMAP-X5777BXGABC is the pre-production version of the TDA2, is that true?

Can anyone please tell me what's different between both chips? is there any Hardware optimization in TDA2 chip that is not exists in OMAP?

Hi Mustafa,

you can check "Table 3-1. Device Comparison" in the TDA2x Data Manual:
www.ti.com/.../tda2.pdf
to see which features are supported by your particular device.
Note that X5777 is a superset device and should support all the features.

Sorry I forgot to mention the version of TDA2.

We've switched to TDA2HGx version.

Hi Mustafa,

the differences seems to be only that TDA2HGx has one A15 core instead of two and two EVE cores instead of four. I am not sure if that should affect video streaming. Can you give more details which SDK you use and how you stream the video?

I'm trying to open the link in your first reply and it keeps saying "Page not found." !!!!!!!
Can you please share the reference manual or the Datasheet one more time please?

Also I have one more question if you please, is there a way to power up a TI serializer UB934Q using TDA2 SoC chip because in the datasheet I have (for the serializer) it's not mentioned if it's possible or not?
