Recommend device selection

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC2262, LM7705, TLV9062, TLV9002

Hi all:

Now it is necessary to make an industrial infrared non-contact temperature probe, and there are the following requirements for the devices used. Please recommend the mainstream chip

一、Please recommend a suitable MCU

16 or 32 bit microcontroller;Two-channel ADC, 16bit;1-way DA, 12bit;1-channel UART;flash, 32 KB;Etc.

二、Recommend suitable op/amp

Single power supply, high precision, low temperature drift, rail to rail, operational amplifier for industrial instruments, working normally at 3.3v.

三、Question: can TLC2262 have 0V output in single power mode?Or do you need dual power to output 0V?

  • Hey Timsen,

For selecting an MCU, please look at our portfolio here: www.ti.com/.../overview.html

As you navigate to the large family's there offer product selection tools. Here is the product selection tool for all of MSP430: www.ti.com/.../products.html

I can't comment on the TLC2262, but I'll see if I can get an analog collegue to comment. I did want to make you aware that we do have some MCUs with a Smart Analog Combo (SAC) built in. More information on that here: www.ti.com/.../overview.html

    Thanks,
    JD
  • Hi Timsen,

Regarding the choice of amplifier, no amplifier will get completely to 0V if you're operating with single supply. One possible solution is to use a device like the LM7705 which will generate a small negative bias so that you can get to 0V.

For the devices, I think you'd be better served by the TLV9002 or TLV9062 than the TLC2262. These are newer parts and have better specifications. Depending on the ADC, you may need the higher bandwidth of the TLV9062.

    Best,
