IP FMEDAs needed for SIL2 certification

Hello,

I am in a project that needs a SIL2 certification from a third party.

Third party is requesting that we use the IP FMEDAs of the TMS570 to tailor diagnostic measures to fit a SIL2.

How can I get access to the IP FMEDAs to allow tailoring of the diagnostic measures?

If that is not possible, has TI an approved minimum set of diagnostic measures defined for a SIL2 system?

    Hi Dominik,

    The SoC-level FMEDA describes each safety mechanism for each IP and also allows tailoring. You can monitor the effect of enabling/disabling specific IP-level safety mechanisms on the calculations of the overall safety metrics to see if you can still meet the target integrity level requirements.
