TMS570LC4357: AJSM Bypass using TEST Pin

Hello Support,

I understand that TEST Pin is for TI internal use only.

But I need to at least keep in mind the following important points about the possibilities.

For cases where either the AJSM password is lost or the OTP/NVM within the device is corrupted, JTAG will not be able to communicate with the device.

But using TEST pin, ATE within TI should be able to communicate with device without knowing the AJSM password if needed.

Is that understanding correct?

Please confirm.

    Hello Pashan,

    We recommend pulling this TEST pin down either via a resistor or directly shorting to ground. If the JTAG is locked through teh AJSM, user can only be unlocked by scanning an appropriate value into the "Unlock By Scan" register of the AJSM module. The device will not be unsecured in TEST mode without the unlock key.
