SM470R1B1M-HT: RTOS Choices

Hi Guys,

the form auto-populated to "Site Support Forum" so not sure where this needs to go.

I have a customer using the SM470R1B1M-HT, they have the following question:

Can you clarify if there is any RTOS supporting SM470R1B1M-HT ? On TI’s website it is shown that uCosII can be used, but the Micrium website does not mention neither SM470R nor TMS470R.

The only system I found so far is SMX RTOS.

Brian,
We do not have an RTOS that TI has endorsed for the HT version of this device.
Most customers use this bare metal.
There may be an RTOS out that that supported the TMS470R1B1M version that may be appropriate.

On Micrium's page on the TI third party design network lists TMS470 ARM7TDI- based industrial MCUs.

While, this isnt necessarily TI Endorsed, could it still be worth exploring with micrium if its possible?

Yes, I think it could be a viable path. The TMS470R1B1M and the SM470R1B1M use the same design.
The SM470R1B1M is still an active product for TI and will remain available for quite some time. However, the design and application expertise is limited due to the age of the design.
