HALCOGEN: FreeRTOS with MPU with code for TMS570LS0714PGE_FREERTOS

I try to generate code for TMS570LS0714PGE_FREERTOS with MPU enabled.

Unfortunately, this does not generate the configuration to use the MPU within FreeRTOS with the restricted Tasks and memory regions.

Is it anyways somehow possible, to get a similar functionality? My goal is, to create restricted task which can only acces their stack and the per task allocated memory regions.

My HALCoGen version is 04.07.01.

The xTaskCreateRestricted() function takes a pxTaskDefinition argument which points to a structure that controls whether the task runs with or without privilege, and also the MPU settings for that task.

Hello,

thanks for the answer. Unfortunately, the page states that the FreeRTOS Mpu is "Compatible with the standard ARM Cortex-M3 and Cortex-M4F ports." That does not include the Cortex-R4F in the TMS570. It would be helpful to have a MPU demo for the TMS570. We got it somewhat working by adapting examples for other MCUs, but a reference implementation could show a way to do it properly.
