TMS570LC4357: Cannot connect to a custom board after loading a possibly incorrect image

Part Number: TMS570LC4357
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN, UNIFLASH

Using Halcogen 04.07.01 and CCS 8.3

We have a custom board using the TMS570LC43. We use a XDS110 debug probe to load images on it.

This board has been verified to be running fine with a loaded image until a new image with some possibly incorrect halcogen clock settings was loaded.

That (possibly bad) image loaded fine but after that we cannot do anything anymore with the board.

Uniflash can't read its memory. Can't load any new programs. We always keep getting "cannot connect to the target" errors.

How can a bad image make it lose connectivity altogether? How do we make it functional again?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you
