Compiler/TMS570LC4357: TMS570 and DO

Part Number: TMS570LC4357

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Hello,

The TMS570 seem to be a great MCU for functional safety purpose like ASIL or SIL nevertheless it is never mentioned of the DO norm standing for avionic purpose.  I'd like to know if you ave any certification package for DO254 for the chip and DO330 for the compiler. if not do you plan to certificate for this norm ?

  • Hello,

    TI provides collateral (safety manual, detailed safety analysis report, FMEDA, compiler qualification kit, compliance support packages for software libraries) that can be used to help with the end system' s assessment towards meeting functional safety requirements of ISO 26262 and IEC 61508 standards. Customers designing systems targeting other functional safety standards use this same collateral to put together their own end system safety case.

    Regards,
    Sunil
  • Hello Sunil,

    Is there other client that actually try to certificate the TMS570 on the DO254 [DAL C] base with this support package? is TI able provide proven track record assessment for the TMS570 that could help to certificate the MCU.

    I've also an other question quite off topic. is the TMS570 ITAR free ?

  • Hello Sigefroid,

    I cannot share customer information for sure.

    As for the ITAR question, please email gtc_eccn-hts-naftateam@list.ti.com with your question, and someone from that team will respond to you directly.

    Regards,
    Sunil
