    Hello,
    I recommend you using HALCoGen ( can be downloaded from here: www.ti.com/.../HALCOGEN ) for configuring DCAN moule.
    With installing HALCoGen also examples will be available under example folders. Detailed description how to configure MCU with HALCoGen are available in HALCoGen Help->Help topics->Examples . Two files are available as an example of CAN communication.
    For connecting MCU to CAN bus you will need CAN transceiver. TI LaunchPads does not have CAN trancseivers on the board but HDKs got two.
