i have some questions when i saw the presentation file of Hercules overview:

1. what does "S" mean in picture below?

2. In what condiction be necessary to develop the FW based on SAFERTOS?

3. What's the maximum speed of UART on RM48L950?

Hello,
Formulas for SCI baudrates are given in Section 26.2.3 of device TRM ( www.ti.com/.../spnu503c.pdf )
For the SCI Module, baud value is: baud value = VCLK frequency/16*(BAUD+1), where BAUD is 24-bit prescaler value in Baud Rate Selection Register (BRS). Maximum VCLK frequency for SCI is 110MHz.
For BAUD=0 and VCLK=110:
baud balue = 110/32 = 3.47Mbits/sec
'S' comes from Serial Interface (SPI in this case)

but if using BAUD as 0, shouldn't the result be 110/16*(0+1) = 6.875?
and In what condiction be necessary to develop the FW w/ SAFERTOS?

Hello,
The formula for baud rate, when BAUD=0 is given in section 26.2.3 of device TRM.
You could use any RTOS that is approved for safety applications.
