TI strategy in regards to the small customers

Dears,

I am looking for some more insight in regards to TI strategy towards the small customers:

1. What is the conception of TI in this regard, are they going to continue support the small customers, or now they decided to focus on the big industrial players mainly ?

2. How they will serve the small customers - via distributors, or they want to change the model?

3. What is the pricing strategy for the small customers, they want to impose very high prices for small quantities, or the price will be reasonable (what is the prices gradient price/quantity ?

Best Regards,

Stanislav

  • Hello Stanislav,

The E2E Forums usually deal with technical questions and not matters of TI strategy and corporate direction (which are usually proprietary). Please give me until next Monday at the latest to provide proper TI position statements in response to your questions.
  • Hi Stanislav,

As Jeff mentioned, E2E is intended for the technical support of TI solutions. We are not able to comment on strategy, distribution, or pricing.

However, we can comment on some of our goals with regard to support. The best support experience is one in which customers can find answers to their questions online, without having to ask a question and wait for a human response. To that end, we are continually adding more and more content to our product folders in the form of app notes, tools, and other collateral.

When a question is asked on E2E, we have our applications teams actively monitoring these threads. E2E is the best way to access our product experts. We are continually working to improve our speed and quality of responses through internal audits and measurements.

    Thanks,

  • Thank you Jim,

However, who can answer those questions, and what is the communication channel I should follow ?

    Best Regards,
    Stanislav
  • Hi Stanislav,

Our devices are available for purchase via your local distributor or using our online store: www.ti.com/.../

Both of these resources can provide you pricing for specific devices at specific volumes. However, neither are able to make generalized, forward-looking commitments regarding pricing or strategy.
