Hi,

We don't have an example or suggestions for implementing Profinet on RM4x parts.

Hi Sunil,

I am new to these , need some help in this subject. We have done TCP/IP through EMAC. But trying on profinet needs some help from TI.

Hi Shruthi,

What specific help are you looking for? As I said in my earlier post, we do not have an example implementation of Profinet on the RM4x parts. You can look at specific implementation options such as this one: www.rtautomation.com/.../

I want to know whether profinet device can be connected to EMC interface and communicate by sending the profinet frames over ethernet/IP

Ethernet/IP and Profinet are distinct types of Industrial Ethernet protocols that use the same Ethernet physical layer. The two are fairly distinct and have specific pros and cons (search online please) related to determinism and maximum achievable bandwidth.

I am afraid I don't have more information related to these communication protocols and if they can be supported on RM4x processors.
