Please let us know how to get the ip address from the hostname.

Also please let us know is there any inbuild function to ping to a specific IP address which we wanted to ping.

Hi,

You can use dns_gethostbyname(). Please see details here from below LwIP links.

ping is more an application using the the underlying icmp protocol. We don't have an example. Here is one reference you can take a look.

Hi Deepanraj,
I'm not aware of other API other than the one I suggested. I will suggest you post your question to LwIP forum as they are the experts if you are looking another API to query DNS.
