CCS/TMS570LS0432: Unable to Debug Blink LED Project in TMS570LS0432 (GEL Output: Memory map Setup .... System reset)

Hi,

I am facing an issue with loading & executing blink LED program in TMS570LS0432 uC.

Process followed:

1) Selected GPIO Driver alone in HALCOGen for this uC & generated code

2) Added below code snippet in sys_main.c along with other relevant parts

3) Executed code in CCS v9 & got .out file and created proper target config file

Error:

On debug, receiving the below error. I tried loading the code through uniflash as well. I am getting the same error.

    Hello,

    Are you using CCS New CCS Project wizard when creating the project. Make sure you have selected the right device (check in project properties).

    Can you post the complete error generated from CCS.

    Hi Miro,

    Yes. I am using New CCS Project Wizard and am selecting the right device (TMS570LS043).

    When I click on debug, it says "A reset ocurred on the target" and then "running". There is no further change in the screen beyond this.

    Below is the error that I see in the console:

    CortexR4: GEL Output:     Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0CortexR4: GEL Output:     Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0 due to System Reset
    CortexR4: GEL Output:     Memory Map Setup for Flash @ Address 0x0 due to System Reset

    Hi Miro,

    Below is a screenshot of my debug session. I receive a message saying "A reset occurred on the target" and it goes to "Suspended - HW Breakpoint" mode.

    I attempted adding a for loop code to check whether the program can still run. I find that I am able to use breakpoints and see that the for loop is running fine.

    However, my board LED doesn't blink yet. 

    In this case, I wanted to know if the issue is with the code that I have used for LED blink. Even then, shouldn't the console say program successfully loaded instead of what it is showing below?

    Hello,

    Please, check what warning you have in gioInit, gioSetDirection and gioToggleBit.

    Did you include "gio.h" file in your sys_main.c?
