Any MCUs with CAN-FD?

Hello everybody,

Are there any MCUs with CAN-FD-support yet available?

For our projects we would need a small MCU with 2 or better 3 CAN-FD-channels and a USB-port.

Are there any plans for this?

Hello Fabian,

Unfortunately no.

TI does offer the TCAN4550 controller, but this has no MCU.

thanks for your reply.

This does answer my first question, if there are any MCUs at the moment.

But are there plans for such MCUs in the near future?

At the moment we have the TM4C-family in use and would like to stay at TI-controllers (because we have implemented our libraries for them and so on).

Hi Fabian,

The MSP432E401Y MCU that does support USB and CAN 2.0 A/B, but not the CAN-FD.
