CCS/RM48L952: debug stop at b prefetchEntry

Part Number: RM48L952

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I am using the freeRTOS and freeRTOS-TCP in a project and would like to enable dynamic stack overflow checking. I am using the TI ARM C/C++ compiler version v18.12.1.LTS.

When I am running the code on the RM48.

if  I only add freeRTOS code in my project, i can allocate memory space using function 'pvPortMalloc'.

but after I add freeRTOS and freeRTOS-TCP code,A define 'pvPortMallocSocket'  used to allocate the necessary space,By default it also points to the FreeRTOS function 'pvPortMalloc()'

the code doesnt get past prefetchEntry.

In freeRTOS-TCP,The application must be using the heap_4 or heap_5 memory allocator,so I choose the file 'heap_4.c'.

I do not know how to avoid it.

Can you give me  some advise?

In freeRTOS,The following code get past prefetchEntry.

In freeRTOS and freeRTOS-TCP,The following code doesnt get past prefetchEntry.

  • Hello,

When a prefetch abort occurs, the CPU marks the prefetched instruction as invalid, and all the p-aborts are precise abort. Please check the value in the link register (r14_pabt) to determine which instruction generated the abort.

You can also use the CP15_Instruction_Fault_address register (CCS-->registers-->CP15) to determine which instruction causes the abort:
