Hello,

Referring to SPNA106D document, there is no pbistSelfCheck step in the initialization procedure, but HALCOGEN code provides this function call.

I would like to know if this step is mandatory or a nice to have test?

Hi Kalyan,

The pbistSelfCheck is not a mandatory step and can be enabled/disabled in the initialization procedure from the "SAFETY INIT" tab in HALCoGen.

It is recommended to have this enabled to ensure that the PBIST module diagnostics are done in an effective way.
