EK-TM4C123GXL: TI launchpad not detected by windows 10

Part Number: EK-TM4C123GXL

Hello,

I am trying to connect TI launchpad to my pc with windows 10. I went through the instructions to install ICDI drivers.

I understood that for me to install the driver, pc should at least detect the board and list it in device manager. This is not happening in my case.

Whenever I connect the board, there's really no effect on pc, no sound/popups, no activity at all. Hence I do not see anything listed in device manager.

I tried to forcefully add the driver using "add legacy hardware" option, which did not help as well.

Has anyone faced similar issue? Would be great if I can get some help.

Regards,
Mayuresh

  • Hello Mayuresh,

First off, quick check that you have it powered right and on the right port make sure your USB cable is connected to the Debug port and the switch is selected for Debug. You should see a green power LED on:

If that is done right and you are still not seeing it, then can you post a screenshot of your device manager with Ports (if visible) and Universal Serial Bus Controllers expanded?

If you see that you have an unknown USB device on in Device Manager, you can try and manually install the drivers from: http://www.ti.com/tool/STELLARIS_ICDI_DRIVERS
