EK-TM4C123GXL: boundary scan problem

Hi,

I'm trying to perform boundary scan on TI Tiva EK-TM4C123GXL. I have simple led blinking code with a large (4s) delay. When the LED state is changed I write 'halt' in the telnet session and write 'sample_get_bit_bsr 50' and after a small time 'resume'. The problem when the LED is Off I get still '1' in the telnet console. What may wrong?

Hello Attila,

I was reading through the file you posted and comments leave a bit of doubt about if using that example is the right fit for what you are trying to do.

Unfortunately, quite some IC vendors do not provide BSDL files for their chips.

However, it looks like figuring out the BSR to GPIO mapping is not terribly hard, and I've updated the manual boundary scan script to make that even easier. This might help diagnose problems with defective soldering joints on many kinds of boards.

Since we do provide the BDSL file, why would you need to use this program? Is that program also designed to work with BDSL files? I don't see an indication that is the case. So that makes me think using the BDSL file with this program may be causing a conflict.

Trying to perform HIL (Hardware in Loop) simulation so at first I'd try this simple task.

Hello Attila,

I spoke with this with the rest of the team, and as we provide the BSDL file, all that needs to be done is test the pin-to-pin connections between the components. It feels like what you are trying to do is put together a manual boundary scan script and possibly even manipulate the pins differently, and that is really beyond the scope of what we can support.

The BSDL file we provide will allow you to do a typical boundary scans. If HIL needs more than just that, I'm afraid that's just outside of the scope of what we are able to support.
