  • Hi Chandran,

Unfortunately we no longer support this part as this is an obsolete device for quite a while. The Tiva TM4C123 family of devices will be a suitable replacement. Where did you get the LM3S5791 parts?

  • Hi Charles,

    Good Day

We aware of that LM3S5791 is obsolete. We used this controller before 6 years approximately but now we are facing some issues in our old system.

As you mentioned currently we are using Tiva TM4C123 family in our latest system.

Now, to fix the issue in the old system we need the controller support driver library files.

Unless vendor imposes restrictions - our small firm (may) be able to assist.

It must be asked - after '6 years usage' - "Have you (somehow) managed to 'Lose ALL' related support files?"    (it proves far faster/easier for my firm to provide 'some key past files' rather than 'all past files' - yet still - your/other's, 'Losing EVERYTHING is 'Unforgivable!')     Our firm will incur 'time & effort costs' in the attempt to aid - should not you/your group - first conduct  your own, 'exhaustive search' - now that you've learned the vendor's policy/decision.

In almost all such cases - your appeal to your local Vendor's Sales Office - proves the superior initial, 'means to proceed.'

  • Hi,

Will you know the version of the Stellarisware you were using?

  • Hello Charles,

From our experience (helping several in past, such situations) - when such critical files are 'unavailable' - the project has (usually) been 'inherited' by the requester.     In such cases - Driver Library alone - rarely provides 'all of the answers.'    (i.e. MCU manual, errata, other data & even 'original user schematics' are often required.)

Driver Library alone may represent the 'tip of the iceberg' - poster (if indeed he is (not) the project originator) needs this recognition - before committing to such task...    (and exercising 'others.')

  • Hi cb1,

Thank you very much to point out that other collateral might have been missing by the poster. Bob and I were doing some internal searches and it really depends on how far back the Stellarisware version the poster is looking for, we may not have it.

Perfectly true - and it should be high-lighted that poster has submitted an essentially, 'Blind/Request' - one w/out (any) usable (defining) information.   Six years of effort - 'all forgotten or lost' ...  if (only) that defined our 'Tax Auditing' Crüe.    (who forget or lose NOTHING - and endlessly challenge cb1's/staff's highly detailed business 'deductions' ... even multiple versions of 'StellarisWare' ... cannot 'Save Us!')

  • Hi Chandran,

I have not heard back from you. I hope you are able locate your drivers perhaps from your corporate archive. I will close this thread for now. If you have new questions you can open a new thread. If your problem is not resolved, you can reply back to this thread to provide your update.
