Hi!

I am using Windows 10 HOME SINGLE LANGUAGE 64bits and Windows doesn't recognize the LaunchPad. I already tried to install the drivers and i'm sure the USB cable is connected to the DEBUG and not the DEVICE. I'm new in embedded systems so I hope to get some help!!!! Sorry for my English is not good !!! Cordialement !!!

Hi Linh,

Can you try on another Windows machine and see if the launchPad is recognized in the Windows device manager?

I have to install these drivers on another Windows too or just plug the launchPad into the Windows?

Hi,

First plug in the board to another Windows and find out from the Device Manager if the board is enumerated. If not, then install the drivers.

I downloaded the patch for Windows 10 drivers from this link (third "get Software" link)

But I have a doubt, I only extract the files from the compressed folder and then I don't know what I should do. I don't see the file .exe

Have you downloaded the TivaWare yet? There is really no pressing need for you to download the patch for Window 10. The patch drivers are related to the USB module operating in CDC class mode. For you right now, it is to get the basic working such as programming a simple example like hello or blinky to the MCU so you can start playing with it.

The TivaWare can be downloaded from this link. http://www.ti.com/tool/SW-TM4C It is the first link to download the TivaWare installer.

I'm not sure if you are trying to learn this MCU as a hobbyist or this is your school assignment. You can learn about TM4C123 via TI's workshop at http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Getting_Started_with_the_TIVA%E2%84%A2_C_Series_TM4C123G_LaunchPad. The way they teach at UT is different from how people will the TivaWare in the industry. As far as I know, UT course does not use TivaWare. They try to train students to write much more complicated code using DRM (direct memory manipulation). It is your choice. If you are trying to follow UT's course as a student I will suggest you contact your instructor.
