TMS570LC4357: Ethernet hdkif_rx_inthandler() issue

Dear support team

I'm using LwIP Stack for TM570LC43570. Throw packet sender i'm sending the 1kb packet to my TMS570LC4357 ethernet bootloader using UDP. if i'm sending 15 packets, almost 13 packets are received well. at the end of the time 14, 15th packet not received by controller. when i debug it was struggle in hdkif_rx_inthandler() loop. please help to resolve this issue. Please refer the below image for reference.

Hi,

I found a note for Hercules Ethernet boot loader http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu547/tidu547.pdf, which they tested dozens of packets without issue. Can you clarify where you got the Ethernet bootloader and how do you test the boot?

Still i can't resolve that, After received some packets then not receiving anything. I cross verified with TFTP based bootloader code my UDP based bootloader. Both are same.

Hi,

Can you provide the details: where the Hercules bootloader came from, what is your you application code to boot? So I can reproduce.

Hi Eric,

I'm working on Ethernet boot-loader using UDP method in TMS570LC4357. I'm using Packet sender tool for sending the UDP packets to my Boot-loader. when i try with 15Kb files, each packet use 1024bytes its working fine. but more than 15kb files when i try to send to boot-loader using packet sender tool, My boot-loader was struck. when i restart, after it will ready to receive packets.

Hi,

For the host side, you used the packet sender application, are you able to control how fast the UDP packets sending to EVM, say try a slower rate with 512 bytes data block? You also tried the TFTP method and failed as well, correct?

On the EVM side, where did you get the Ethernet bootloader? Did you write it yourself? What is the LWIP version used inside the bootloader? We tested using TFTP32 running on PC as client and Hercules EVM as the TFTP server, with 512 bytes data block and didn't have any issue. See the note http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidu547/tidu547.pdf.
