Hi Team,

As per below case, internal Oscillator circuit needs to be enabled to use the external clock source not matter you are going to drive it or not.

Can you please tell me the reason or point to the section in reference manual for doing so?

Baba,

Why do you want to disable the internal oscillator? You can certainly disable this if you want to. You must disable the on-chip monitoring of the main oscillator in this case before disabling the internal oscillator.

internal Oscillator circuit needs to be enabled to use the external clock source not matter you are going to drive it or not.

I tried disabling internal clock and observed issues.

Just I want to know the reason why internal Oscillator circuit needs to be enabled to use the external clock source?

The internal oscillator circuit (clock source 0 for the on-chip Global Clock Module) needs to be enabled in order to use the OSCIN input as the source for the PLL (and for other clock domains).
