Hello!

I installed Hercules Safety MCU Demos to study the Safety features of the RM57Lx LaunchPad.

Firstly im not 100% sure which exe is needed to run in order to run the demo on the RM57Lx LaunchPad.

Am I right that the selected one from the installation folder is the one for me to run?

After I run it the application don't start but it misses a DLL file. You can see it on the next picture.

I tried downloading the missing DLL but that didn't work. If i clicked to ignore it the app started but it didn't work.

Can you suggest me any solution for this problem problem, or help me anyhow to study the safety features of this chip.

Please try to uninstall and then reinstall the Hercules Safety MCU Demos.

Note that these demos were designed to run on an older USB stick development kit (not sold anymore) and on the Hercules Development Kits (HDK). The web page clearly states this: https://www.ti.com/tool/HERCULES_SAFETY_MCU_DEMOS

They will not run as-is on the LaunchPads. Code examples for LaunchPads can be found in the git repository at https://git.ti.com/hercules_examples

Dear Sunil,

On the wiki link i can read that it is compatible with hercules launchpads, if its not i think it should be updated.

I cloned the hercules_examples repository you linked to me. There are many examples in this one. Am i right that the right one for me is the Bootloaders/SafetyMCU_Bootloades/RM57Lx if I have the RM57Lx LaunchPad

I have one other question. Is there any readme or tutorial for using theese examples?

Hello,

The example you are mentioning is for implementing bootloader on RM57Lx MCU. There are application notes regarding implementing bootloaders on Hercules MCUs, for example:

There are some other examples you can use under LaunchPad/RM/RM57 directory.

Also, you can find some examples under HALCoGen Examples folder. And description how to use those examples is in HALCoGen Help (Help topics-->Examples)

Im looking for examples especially in connection with the Safety Library and with the safety functions of the RM57Lx . Bootloader functions are not neccessary for me yet. I will check out the LaunchPad/RM/RM57 directory. Thank you.

I know about the HALCoGen examples, used some of them, but couldn't get the safety lib example working, becouse I couldn't compile that one. Some steps may be missing.
