My customer has the following question.
we have done some Performance Measurements for our two TMS570 devices
TMS570LC4357 Running at 300MHz
TMS570LS1227ZWT Running at 150 MHZ
For the following performance results, we don’t use external memories.
We take the TMS570LS1227 and have a result of 100% (This is the Base Measurement)
If we use the TMS570LC4357 with cache (Instruction and Data) we get a Performance of 270% (Good Value)
We compare with a TMS570LC4357 without cache and getting a Performance of about 55%. (This is the bad value)
We have compared the chapter 5.6 of both Datasheets:
1227:
4357:
My question is: Is it feasible, that the 1227 is twice as fast as the 4357 with cache deactivated? (Especial because of the RWAIT Settings?)
Could you please help!
