TMS570LS1224: What is meant by 16- and 32-Bit RISC Flash Microcontroller?

Is it having two variants 16bit one and 32 bit one. Or It will support in two modes. I could not understand 16/32 bit means.

"16-and-32 bit" statement put me into confusion.
