CCS/TMS570LS0432: TMS570LS004

Part Number: TMS570LS0432
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I'm using this kit for the first time. Please help with these issues:  When i want to work with this using Halcogen, should i choose TMS570LS0432PZ? or TMS570LS0432FREE_RTOS? i could find only these two options related to this. what's the difference between those two? and i cannot find "Free CCS license-for use with XDS100 emulators" as guided in the Quick start guide. And I can't find "Texas Instruments XDS100v2 USB Emulator" while creating a CCS Project. "

  • Hello,

You can choose either TMS570LS0432PZ or TMS570LS0432FREE_RTOS.

If your application doesn't use OS, you can choose TMS570LS0432PZ. But you are going to use OS in your application, you can try freeRTOS.

I suggest to use TMS570LS0432PZ first. You can use HALCoGen\Help\Topics to select any example to learn this device.

The CCS is available at the link below for no additional charge for customers of TI devices.

Did you install the driver for TI XDS emulators when you installed CCS? What is your CCS version?
