TM4C1294NCPDT: Is mention of the "BCD bit" in the description of the HIBCALCTL register correct?

Part Number: TM4C1294NCPDT

In the datasheet for the TM4C1294NCPDT searching for the term "BCD" only finds two matches in the following:

Does the TM4C129 Hibernation module actually support BCD format fields, or is the reference to "BCD" in the above an error in the datasheet?

The above was found as a result of the same question on on the MSP432E TRM - see HIBCALCTL BDC bit

  • Hi Chester,

It looks to me like a documentation error, something that was not implemented, but a comment that was left in the document. I don't have access to the design spec on the weekend. I will check for it tomorrow at the office. If I need to consult with the design team it might be mid January before I get a definite answer.

  • I have verified that having the calendar fields in BCD format is a feature that was not implemented on the TM4C1294NCPDT. That sentence in the description of the HIBCALCTL register should not be there. I will submit a documentation correction ticket to that affect, but we do not have any current plans to update the datasheet.
