I have a question about TM4C129x which is used for XDS110 for CCS/UniFlash.

Could you please share the reference design of TM4C129x with XDS110 functional?

I'm interested in TM4C129x with BGA package.

Hello HaTa,

Perhaps I am not fully understanding your request, but to use the TM4C129x with the XDS110 Debug Emulator, all you need is proper JTAG connections which can be done by following the guidelines from this application note: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/spma075/spma075.pdf

Some TI's EVM mounts TM4C129x to realize on-board XDS110 function.

For example, if I refer to the following design file

LAUNCHXL-CC2650 (CC2650 LaunchPad) (Rev. A)

TM4C1294NCPDTT3R(QFP package) is mounted on the EVM.

I'd like to know the design with TM4C129x (BGA package) to realize XDS110 function.

Hello HaTa,

I asked the Hardware Development team about this. They do not have a separate reference design but rather say to copy the schematic exactly from the LaunchPad documentation.

The copying includes the four resistors tied to PK4-PK7 which are what tells the XDS110 which device is being connected too. This doesn't impact the operation of the emulator itself but it does affect what is shown in CCS as far as the debug interface.

After the schematic is copied properly, the device can be flashed with the XDS110 Binary which is provided with CCS.
