Hi Team,

We are using TMS570LC4357 controller interfaced with DP83822IRHBT. During testing (test case is power on restart of the device), sometimes, the MDIO link is down.

Please find the snapshot of the registers captured during problematic scenario for reference.
Are there any errata for DP83822 (could not find the TI websites).

Hello,

The MDIO LINK register is updated after a read of the PHY status register. Did you read this status register?

Do you try your code on TI HDK?

Hi Wang,

Yes, we tried reading phy registers, and all the phy register values are read as 0 (it was unsuccess). Yes, we used TI HDK in our testing.
Also, please share us the errata for DP83882 phy.

I noticed that you made modification to HL_mdio.c. Does the original code get the same issue?

Do you get the same issue on TI HDK?

BTW, the HALCoGen generates driver for DP83640, and TLK111. You need to write your own driver for PHY (DP83882) you used.

Thanks Wang, yes we saw similar behaviour on DP83640 as well. Can you please check it and let me know your inputs/observations?
