TMS570LS3137: About the GIO of 3137PGE

Part Number: TMS570LS3137
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HALCOGEN

Hi,

I'm verifying the prototype of my design. I selected TMS570LS3137PGE and purchased a TMS570LS12x LaunchPad. It is very impressive for me to use HALCoGen to config peripherals and generate codes.

However I found there are 4 bits of 2/5/6/7 for GIO port A and bit 2 for port B, as below. Does it mean I have at most 5 pins of 9/14/16/22/55 being used as GIO for lighting a LED or accessing address pins and EN pin of multiplexer such as DG408 etc ? Is there any way to make other unused IOs such as FlexRay work as GIO ?

regards

Datïan

  • Hello,

For TMS570LS12x PGE package, there are only 5 GPIO pins (4 GIOA, and 1 GIOB). You can use N2HET pins, MibSPI pins as GIO, Flexray pins can not be used as GIO.

  • Hi, QJ

Thank you very much. Does it mean I need modified the related source file directly instead of using HALCoGen for using N2HET or MibSPI pins as GIO ? If it is yes, would you like to give me some reference about how to modified these source file ?

    Thanks and Regards
