I swear that I'm beginning to wonder if TI actually understands the implications of copyright.
I spent an hour or so with support this afternoon trying to get them to understand that in order to get the manual printed I had to have permission to print or that the printer would reject it. I ended up in the session with three different answers
- We don't do that
- If you have the document we can't stop you (missing the point on sooo many levels)
- OK, what if we send an e-mail giving you permission? I'll open a case
That final one might work and I accepted that but I've received a followup e-mail asking if I can open the SW (apparently TI support can't?) and circling back to point number one.
This frustrating scenario could be easily circumvented, and I've seen this expedient used, by giving permission in the first page to print one or two copies for your own use.
