Hi, I'm trying to find a footprint drawing including details of the solder mask and paste layer for the PGE package (144 pin LQFP). I've had no luck getting anything to work on Ultralibrarian so would like a drawing please.
Thanks
Karl
Hello Karl,
Are you able to download the .bxl file from ti.com?
http://www.ti.com/product/TMS570LS0714/toolssoftware#cadsymfoot
Hi, yes I did but the output wouldn't import into my CAD. I would just like a drawing or at least some information on the pad definition. We have a board with this processor which is running but will not take code through the JTAG. We're out of ideas so are now looking at whether it could be a shorted pin somewhere.
Hi, I did yes but I've downloaded kicad and managed to import it into that. I really think the datasheet should have the footprint though, it does for the 100 pin version.
Correct, but there is no footprint information in the datasheet. There is a package drawing and also a footprint for the 100 pin, but the 144 pin only has a package drawing.
thanks
Karl
Hi Karl,
The details of the package is on Page 160 of the datasheet (SPNS226E)
Hi QJ
Thank you but you seem to be confusing the package with the footprint. The page you refer to shows the package for the 100 pin PQFP package, and indeed on page 161 there is the footprint for that package. Sadly it is the 144-pin PQFP variant that I need the information for. Page 162 shows the package mechanical drawing so you would think that page 163 would have the footprint (the definition for the copper pads, solder mask openings, paste details etc) for it but it is missing.
thanks
Karl
