TMS570LC4357: ADC Pin Mulitplexing - AD2IN[24]

Hello,

we are using all channels of ADC1 and ADC2. According to the datasheet (SPNS195C) , chapter 4.2.1.1 AD2IN[24] is routed to the pins V19 and W18. This is applicable for the 337ZWT package.

Questions:
1. Is AD2IN[24] mulitplexed to one of these pins?
2. How can I select the pin that shall be used for conversion?

In chapter 4.2.2.2 I cant find any information on mulitplexing for this signal.

Hello,

V19 and W18 are termed as "corner balls" on the 337ZWT package. These are usually reserved for "redundant" signals to account for package reliability concerns.

In this case these balls V19 and W18 are both used for AD2IN[24]. It is better to route the single analog input to both these terminals. No other configuration is required in software.

Just to confirm:

Are these terminals internally connected?
Is it necessary to connect the same signal to both terminals or is it sufficient to use just one terminal?

- Yes, connect same signal to both terminals (right next to each other)
