Part Number: BOOSTXL-SHARP128

During the test after unbox new module with SDK demo (simplelink_cc32xx_sdk_2_30_00_05\examples\rtos\CC3220S_LAUNCHXL\drivers\display)

for CC3220S development board found issue some with the display:

1. First time does not work at all

2. If I touch the flat cable - the display start work (sometimes show TI logo picture, LED off message in the top, and random pixels are on)

3. Display is blinking together with red board LED Seems like flat cable of the screen is damaged.

  • Hi,

Given it appears that your SHARP128 boosterpack is defective, please contact the TI store or the store where you purchased the boosterpack for a return or exchange. You can contact TI store support here: https://ticsc.service-now.com/csm

  • Hello,

Should it not be noted that, "Poster's & similar displays" which employ such "thin, flex cables are extremely vulnerable to cable failure."   Almost any stress or "too severe" of a cable bend radius will "open circuit" one or multiple of the flex connections.

Most such displays are NOT Designed for "Multiple Cable Removals/Insertions!"    Any tendency to "explore at/around the display or its flex cable" - is destined to, "Not end well..."   (Staff/I have many years w/in the Display Industry...)
