Hi Champ,

During execute Flash sector erase function, can I add CAN transmit code in below while loop. if can anything need to pay attention to ?

Hi Huihuang,

Yes, you can execute some code in the loop. Since LS0714 has only one flash bank, the function and all the variables used by the function should be located in SRAM.

Hi Huihuang,

If you can use allocate the function to a section in linker cmd file, then do memcopy in man() fot copy this section to SRAM:

} palign=8 load = FLASH, run = SRAM, LOAD_START(cantxLoadStart), RUN_START(cantxRunStart), SIZE(cantxLoadSize)

In main.c:

extern unsigned int cantxLoadSize;
extern unsigned int cantxRunStart;

main(){

memcpy(&cantxRunStart, &cantxLoadStart, (uint32)&cantxLoadSize);

}

BTW, why does your customer transmit CAN message in this loop which checks the status of the flash state machine? How often will your customer erase the flash sector?

You can use ramfunc to run a function in RAM:

Linker cmd:

.binit : {} > FLASH0
.TI.ramfunc : {} load=FLASH0, run=RAM, table(BINIT)

Main.c:

__attribute__((ramfunc))

void myRamFunc(void){

uint32 i, j;
for(i=0; i<100; i++){
j=2*i;
}
}

myRamFunc() will be copied to RAM, so you run this function out of RAM.

This method has issue.

When call this function ,will jump to flash first,then go to RAM, it is not directly go to RAM, you can found the issue if you look into the .map file。
