Dear team

I saw https://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Integration_of_HALCoGen_with_Hercules_SafeTI_Diagnostics_Library#SafeTITM_Diagnostics_Library_Configuration

It said that "SafeTI Diagnostics Library can be used as Library or direct source. When customer chooses to use SafeTITM Diagnostics Library file directly with HALCoGen they must regenerate the library."

So could i regenerate the library when i use it with HALCoGen?

Hi Susan,

Diagnostic Library is a collection of functions for access to Safety Functions and response handlers for various safety mechanisms. Those APIs are defined in files that are separated from the files directly generated from HALCoGen. You don't need to regenerate the library.

But on the following link,it says that " When customer chooses to use SafeTI^TM Diagnostics Library file directly with HALCoGen they must regenerate the library. "

I am very confused. Please show me more detail.

Hi Susan,

No, you don't have to generate new library.
