I would like to learn what is the differences between safeti halcogen and halcogen. The reason why i am asking this question is safeti halcogen has a price. What is the reason for the price and what makes safeti halcogen has a price.

    Hello,

    HALCoGen is a tool that allows  you to generate the required drivers for IPs on TMS570/RM Hercules MCUs. You can also configure functions using the GUI to generate initialization routines for several IPs.

    HALCoGen Compliance Support Package (CSP) was developed to provide the necessary documentation, reports and unit test capability to assist customers using HALCoGen generated software to comply with functional safety standards such as IEC 61508, ISO 26262, etc.

    This CSP is now also available for free from TI. It does require a license for a tool from LDRA called LDRAunit. This is a paid license that you have to get directly from LDRA.
