Hello,

I would like to protect the programmed code in the flash memory after programming.

(Prevent the program in Flash from being read after programming)

Is the above setting possible with Uniflash?

If yes, could you tell me the procedure?

If no, could you tell me how to protect programmed code in the flash memory after programming using other TI tools?

Hi,

You don't use a tool to protect the flash. You will need to call the API to protect as part of your code to protect the memory. Please refer to the below post.

Hi Charles,

Thank you for your reply.

I understand we can protect the code in flash memory by Flash API in application.

It looks like Flash is not protected until the application code is executed for the first time.

Are there any solution to make the Flash code unreadable before the first startup (immediately after writing the program)?

Hi U-SK,

Unfortunately, the protection will only take effect after the application is executed. There is another feature to block JTAG access to the processor. But even this feature requires the application to execute code to first lock out the JTAG. Why can't you immediately run the code upon first writing to the flash?
