Part Number: TM4C129ENCPDT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB1211
Team,
My customer is using TM4C129ENCPDT and TUSB1211A1ZRQ in their system, and they have some connection questions. Original question posted here:

Follow up question would be more appropriate for you team. Can you please help address:
I need some additional clarification. I understand that the USB transceiver reads the ID line, and it supplies VBUS accordingly. Since the processor is capable of the same control as the transceiver is capable of there are redundant control lines. The redundant lines on the processor include the ID and VBUS lines that are also on the transceiver, and they serve the same function. Since I will not be using the control lines on the processor, and instead will be using the lines on the transceiver that have identical function, are the redundant lines on the processor recoverable as GPIO? Asked in another way, when I enable the USB OTG function on the processor are the ID and VBUS lines always active dedicated to their USB OTG function, or can they be used for something else?
A have a second question also that is related. When using an external transceiver like the TUSB1211 is the USB0PFLT input signal still active on the processor? So if I am running an external transceiver on the processor, and input a power fault signal from a power control module into the USB0PFLT line, will it be recognized by the processor There is not much documentation regarding the USB0PFLT signal in the datasheet, and I don’t have a way to simulate the interface at this time.
Thanks
