TMS570 Interrupt Problem

Hello guys,

I have a problem with my interrupt within the TMS570. I am working with the MCBTMS570 and CCSv4.

I programmed a RTI based blinking LED a while ago. Everything worked fine.

Afterwards I tried to get the CAN working. The CAN should work interrupt based too. In debug mode I could see the correct adress of the ISR in the register IRQVECREG. But the ISR was not running. Then I switched back to my blinkig LED program and now this one is not running either.

Do I miss something???

EDIT:

Problem solved. I forgot the global interrupt enable. But I could have sworn the original blinking LED had worked without this.

Sounds strannge. Did you reset your device before the original blinking LED? The CPSR should be reset by a PORRST.

Dear Haixiao,

I have a problem where SCI1 rx interrupt is set at level 0, but the handler

SCI1HighLevelInterrupt is called instead.

I am using Freertos.

This problem caused the scheduler hang up.

Level 0 means high level interrupt.

SCI 1 Level 0: interrupt vector 13

SCI 1 level 1: interrupt vector 27

If two interrupts occur together and they are both IRQs, the one with the lower index (here is 13) has the higher priority. That is why we call it a high level interrupt.

Does that make sense?

Yes, that make sense. Ok, the interrupt are IRQ.

I have set SCI 1 using level 0: using interrupt vector 13 at sys_startup.c.

I tried to send 4 bytes from PC, sci1HighLevelInterrupt handler is called repetitively.

The first 2 calls is acknowledging that there is 2 characters arrived(case 11 -> receive), the rest is

going to default case(phantom interrupts).

Do you know why would this happened?

Because of this, Freertos scheduler was freezed in my application.

Can you check the baudrate, stop bit, parity bit? The IC may undertand the character in a wrong way and cause a phantom interrupts.
