TMS570LS1224: Issue of SLCK signal of SPI

Part Number: TMS570LS1224

Hi,

I had tested SPI communication between TMS570LS12x and AD7705 in my board by SPI1 of launchpad. It had worked. After I changed another board, it failed to work. By probing signals, I found SCLK of SPI1 was different to normal situation that the volume of signal is about 336 mV shown as below.

The volume of SCLK signal in the normal situation is about 3.3V shown as below.

Pleas help me to determine whether SPI in my launchpad is demaged sadly or recoverable.

Best regards

Datïan

  • Hello,

Can you please do the following simple debugs:

    1. Configure SPI pin as a simple digital output pin, set the pin high and measure the voltage

    2. Remove the SPI target chip and measure the voltage. If needed, just lift the target's associated pin and test

How many SPI slaves are attached to this SPI port? It seems to me there is to much loading on SPI clock.

  • Hello QJ,

Many thanks for your help. Following your guidance, I found the probe was accidentally set at the position of 10X.

    Kind regards

    Datïan
