SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP: LDRA Evaluation License for CSP Demo

Part Number: SAFETI-HALCOGEN-CSP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDS570LS31HDK, HALCOGEN

I would like to evaluate the HALCOGEN-CSP-DEMO, which I believe involves executing unit test scripts provided by TI using a combination of the CSP tool and LDRAunit, I assume these tests can be built and loaded onto the HDK to reproduce the test results?

I have been trying to install and run the HALCOGEN-CSP-DEMO however I'm struggling to get a working configuration. My current problem seems to be the LDRAunit license. I understand an evaluation license is provided with the CSP-DEMO however I get the following error in the LDRA License Configuration.

No such feature exists.

Feature: Win_C/C++_LDRAunit-TI-Qual_TI.

FlexNet Licensing error:-5,147

I am working with a TMDS570LS31HDK and I'm using CCS v8.0.0 with HALCOGEN v4.07.00 and ARM compiler v4.9.9.

  • Hello,

You can request a trial LDRAunit license from LDRA directly. https://ldra.com/

  • I have been in contact with LDRA and they have provided an evaluation license for "LDRAunit-TI-Qual" which is apparently the specific package required to run the HALCOGEN-CSP.

I also needed to download a newer FlexLM license manager.

The LDRA license now appears to be correct in the LDRA License Configuration however I am still unable to run the HALCOGEN-CSP-DEMO tests. The TAU output is always something like:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Test Sequence : \Test\RTI\UnitTest
    Generating MakeFile...Passed...
    Generating TCF File...Passed...
Validating and building the test sequence...
Build Failed...Please check log file in folder \Test\RTI\UnitTest..
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, the log files contain no build information. I tried installing ARM compiler v5.1.6 and using the provided sample project with the same result.

  • Please download the HALCoGen CSP (not the demo version). The LDRA tool is now separate from this installer and can be licensed directly from LDRA.
